Justin spent most of the week in L.A. on business so Nolan and I had a quiet week at home. We ended up catching colds so we spent time reading books and watching movies. It was kind of nice to be lazy. Nolan even slept in Daddy's spot while he was gone. Normally I'm pretty big on having him sleep in his own bed, but I couldn't resist this time. Having a new baby coming makes me want to enjoy every chance to cuddle that I can get! I have to admit though, neither of us really slept that well. He is quite the mover at night and he requires his puppy and blanket, too. I guess that's why he rarely sleeps with us. I can tell Nolan missed his Dad because at night he would call out, "Daddy! Daddy!"
We've been enjoying conference weekend so far. Between sessions we figured out how to fix our leaky kitchen faucet and toilet. I had to help Justin figure out how to get the handle off first (the hex screw is hidden), but then he was good to go. I'm glad that Justin is willing and able to learn how to fix things around the house. My Dad always did most repairs himself, so it's great that Justin is like that too. A regular handy-man!
Yesterday I had my 28 week OB appointment. I sure hate that glucose test. Yuck! I failed the first one with Nolan's pregnancy and had to do the 3 hr. fasting one. I am serious when I say that I pray that I don't have to do that one again. I'm feeling big and awkward, my back hurts, and I'm awake for 1 or 2 hours every night. Such is life when you're making a person, I guess. I'm just glad everything seems to be progressing well. I've gained 15 pounds so far, which is fabulous news for me. I only gained 18 total with Nolan.
Nolan and I are off to St. George for the week. We'll miss Dad but hopefully some sunny weather will keep us occupied. It should be a fun visit with the cousins. Happy Easter, everyone!

That's too bad about the colds. I think I'm at the beginning of one myself. I hope you'll be able to sleep better, especially since it will probably be several months until Baby sleeps through the night. I feel like I'm finally get enough myself.
Have fun on your trip!
Do you have a body pillow? I think they are the best for pregnancies! Let me know if you'd like to borrow one-- we actually have two!
you might think the weather in STG is sunny, but its been a bit cold lately, I hope it warms up for easter. And I hope you guys get better from your colds..
Lazy weeks are fantastic!
Glad you're both feeling better. I can't believe you are feeling big with your pregnancy - you still look so little. It's amazing we make it through those sleepless nights before and after the baby comes. Hope that gets a little better for you.
While you are down, call me. 435-669-3563. Maybe we can get together. We leave for the summer in 2 weeks.
That's no fun that you're awake that long at night. I had troubles sleeping but never was awake that long at night.
I can't believe you're already 28 weeks. I hope you get to feeling better. I agree with Terrah, body pillows are the greatest. I sleep with one even when I'm not prego and I love it. I'm glad you guys are feeling better. Have fun in St. George and in the sunny weather. Cute blog background by the way....love it. Oh and that picture of Nolan is precious. They really are the cutest when they're sleeping :)
That picture of Nolan sleeping is so precious. That's cute that he got to sleep with you while Justin was gone. I can imagine you want to soak up as much cuddling as possible before the baby comes...which I can't believe it's coming close to the countdown!! I hope you and Nolie continue to feel better, and have a wonderful trip, and Easter, in St. George!!
I miss seeing you at step. I am glad you are doing well. It is nice for you to have time with Nolan, just you and he.
