Yes, there have been requests for tummy pictures (thanks, Aubrey!). The second one was a mess-up picture but I think it shows the tummy best anyway.
I had another OB appointment today and was happy to learn that I've made a little progress. I'm now "almost a 3" and 60% effaced. But the best news came when she was looking at her calendar and asked, "Would you like an elective induction?" What welcome words! I said, "yeah, that'd be great since you're leaving town the week of my due date." So she scheduled it for the 17th, two days before she leaves. She said they may bump me back a day (which would actually be great) but for sure I'll have him by the 18th. It's not that I'm so happy about him coming a week early, because we all know babies are easier inside than out, but I'm just so relieved to know that I won't be days overdue with the risk of having a bigger baby than Nolan. So we have 13 days to be ready. We're close, but I'm working on freezing some meals, organizing closets, and then I'll take a good couple of days to deep clean the house. Justin had to cancel his business trip that week. It was cutting it close, but we just figured I'd be late again. He's bummed that we have to plan this around the doctor's vacation.
Yesterday, I was scratching Nolan's back while he tried to sit comfortably on my lap. He turned around with a concerned look on his face, gave the tummy a long look, and then said, "baby brother big!" Maybe he's understanding this baby thing a little better than I thought. It will certainly be interesting to see how he reacts to his baby brother. When I ask if he wants to feel the baby, he always does. He places his hand on my tummy and says, "baby warm." And then after about 4 seconds (which is rarely long enough to actually feel a kick) he says, "all done brother." I'm hoping he pays him about the same amount of attention when he arrives. It would be nice if he wasn't too concerned about holding, poking, and bothering the new little guy. Yeah, we'll see.
Other than that, things aren't too exciting around here... just a little yard work. Justin is realizing that we put in too much grass. I think most homeowners realize this. It's a lot of work but he does a great job.

Yay, there's an end in sight!! Can't wait to see pics of the cute little guy. Your tummy is so cute and tiny!! I can't see you having big babies, how big was Nolan?
Yay, it is almost time! You look so cute and tiny! You need to post some of your freezer recipes. I am trying to think of some good ones to do also before I have my babe! Good luck with everything. I can't wait to see pictures of your little guy!
A date is always nice to have...how nice to have it even earlier then your due date : ).
Wow, you're so close! And have such ambitious plans for your next 13 days :).
Too much grass is a bunch of work... but it's better than too much growbed area that you have to weed! That was definitely a learning point from our last yard... Maybe an all-concrete yard isn't such a bad thing :).
yay, your almost there!!
Yea! I bet it feels good to have the end in sight. I'm glad that Justin was able to cancel his trip. That would make me so nervous to have my hubby gone so close to the due date. I can't wait to meet your new little man.
Hey Kenzee - being induced eh? LUCKY, now you know and can plan it all. I hate not knowing when I'm going to go into labor and what I'm going to do with my girls...
May you have a nice 8 pounder - none of this 9 or 10! It was great to see you!
Wow, only 13 days, eh? That's going to be here before you know it...how exciting! I'm glad you won't have to wait for your Dr. to get back though. By the way, you don't look like your 9 months prego at all...your belly is so cute and little. You look fabulous!!
Yeah for tummy pics!!You are such a cute pregnant girl!
Kenz...I'm getting so excited for that new baby!!! I'm so glad that she is going to start you early...you will love that. By the way...you do look so cute pregnant!!!!
We're excited for you!
Yea!! I'm so excited to meet the little man. Can't believe it's coming up so soon! It seems like just yesterday when we were driving in the car to take the boys to the fall festival at Thanksgiving Pointe when you told me the good news! :)
