...more like $75! Who doesn't love saving money? I've learned that highlights from the box, done by Justin and me, are just as good as highlights from a salon. My mom first did it for me a few months ago so I figured I could handle it, too. Eventually I'll need to put some brown back in and get a professional two-color highlight. And I am missing out on the salon experience, but for now though, I'm saving so much! I also hit a couple garage sales and found this train for Nolan. It makes lots of sounds and he's thrilled with it! 5 bucks!
On Saturday we had a picnic and walked the Silver Lake trail up Big Cottonwood Canyon. It was great to escape the near 100 degree weather at home. Hopefully it's the last really hot day we have. After our walk, we went over the mountain hoping to do a mine tour in Park City. Too bad it closed 6 years ago. We found a playground instead (Justin had the most fun) and then got pizza and ice cream on Main Street. We had a great time! Here are some pictures of our recent play times:

I love saving money, you can find great things at garage sales! So, Justin does your hair highlights? Or did I get that wrong? Your hair looks great.
I think we saw that same train on Saturday. I need to try doing my own highlights. Your hair always looks so nice.
Fun pics...I love the one of Justin's bed head with both the boys!! He He!! We need to find that park the next time we're up in Park City. It looks like a fun one!
Cute hair, the canyon looks fun I can't wait till the leaves start changing.
Look at you, little money saver. Your hair looks great - always! And I'll be hoping for your sake that the batteries die in that train - cute as it is!
Your hair looks awesome...I would have thought you had it done at a salon.
Looks like I've been replaced... Is there nothing that husband of yours can't do? haha. The hair looks great, hope I get to see it inperson soon...
Wow...you did a fabulous job on the hair color. I'm sooooo impressed. Can I pay you to do mine...or else Justin could? Ha ha!
Your highlights look great! What a fun Saturday you guys had, spent as a family!
Wow-tips to save some moolaa these days are always useful, although I just don't trust myself, or my husband for that matter, to do a good job. Hey, I just looked at Keeley's blog and I remember when she gave you a baby bottle to announce that she was pregnant and now Bryson is 16! Wow.
What a great day! It looks like Justin can go on the money bars all by himself. You must be so proud!!! :)
He does a good job at hair too. Glad that Jen doesn't ask me to do that. I'd mess it up.
