Justin has passed the HAM radio test and he is beside himself with excitement over his new hobby! He is so delighted to have his own call sign (K foxtrot tango somethin’ somethin’…). He made his first broadcast to someone in Brazil the other day (using the Internet somehow). He said it was scary because his Portuguese is a little rusty. But boy was it fun to hear about their current weather conditions. Congrats, honey! I hope it's all you've dreamed it to be. Now we'll just have to get you a radio in the next few years.
My hobbies are currently nursing, sweeping, picking up toys, changing diapers, and reading 3 to 4 pages of my book a day. I think it would be a good book if I could read it for more than 5 minutes at a time. When I get the chance to read longer, I end up falling asleep. It reminds me of when I was in college and tried to read from my textbooks.
Nolan's hobbies are screaming, destroying, coloring, and singing (we're actually proud of the last two). This is how he sings the snowman song from Primary: "Once a Nolan, tall tall tall, sun, melted, sun, melted, small small small." He even gets the tune just perfect! We suspect that he thinks people are singing about him rather than a snowman. I wish I had a video to post. He's also started doing hand clapping games with me.
Ezra's hobbies are nursing, cooing, and smiling at anyone that looks his way.

That's neat Justin was able to use his portuguese. I wish Mitch would speak in Spanish more. It's sad they learn these languages and aren't given many opportunities to use them. I guess you have to seek them out, that's what I keep telling Mitch. It's nice to hear Marshall is not the only one who is a destroyer, I love the age they are so much fun.
My little Max is being a terror too. I think it's the terrible two's finally coming out. I'm glad you are surviving having two children. Two is so much harder than one, but it does get easier with age. Now that Melody is in Kindergarten and almost six, I do get somewhat of a break now. I didn't know that Justin speaks portuguese? Where did he go on his mission?
I read the part about your hobbies with Kyle and said to him that sounds just like me, but if I read any more than a few pages that I fall asleep. Then he pointed out that that is what your next sentence said too. Maybe someday we'll be able to expand our hobbies and get more rest!
What fun hobbies. Nolan's sound like the most fun!
Justin makes me laugh. Tell him I'm relieved that we have a stake HAM specialist now! :)
I love your hobbies....way to be positive and list those 'fun' mommy tasks as hobbies. It's true that being a mom doesn't leave much time for real ones!
Oh, and if you're up for getting together again this week or next, let me know. We'd love to play!
Way to go Justin...you crack us up! Loved reading about all the family's hobbies at the moment. You are a great mom, Kenz!
I can't wait to hear Nolan sing that song...what a cutie! Arn't you coming next week? I hope so, we miss you guys!!!
what a fun hobby to have!!!
