No messing around

Today I heard there were H1N1 vaccines in Salt Lake County so I rushed in to get Nolan taken care of. No more waiting around for more shipments to arrive in our county. I even got his seasonal flu shot, too. That wasn't pretty because we had to go to a different room and he knew exactly what was coming by then - and the sucker in his mouth was no longer cuttin' it. He was a big boy though so we went out to lunch afterward (or maybe that reward was for me!). Too bad he'll need a booster in a month. And Justin and I are just hoping there are adult doses available soon since Ezra is too young to get one. There are lots of people at Tooele High School with it and they're thinking of closing down. I hope we can keep the little guy safe.

Ummm...why didn't you call me?!! Glad you were able to get his shots done though. How come you couldn't get yours done at the same time?

I'm glad you got in! We went in yesterday. Kind of a pain that we have to go back-- for me and for the girls' boosters and then Kevin will have to go in the last group. We didn't have any wait, and it was free, so I was happy about that. Our family is pretty much all high risk with the girls being under 4 and me being pregnant.... I really want our whole family vaccinated before the little guy comes in January! And both my doctor and the pediatrician said that they probably would never get the vaccine, so the health department is the way to go!

PS, they told you that you guys are in a high risk group too, right, since you have an infant that can't be vaccinated? Funny thing is, Kevin doesn't count as a high risk group, because we don't have an infant under 6 months YET.

I heard on the news about all the sick kids at Tooele High School. We have had a lot of kids sick here too!

That's so scary to think about. Hopefully your shots work and everyone stays healthy this season!

We're hoping to only catch all the other major flu's. We've had two already, so we are on our way! I hope those shots pay off and you guys stay sick-free!
