New Mirror

I have finally finished making a mirror for my basement. I first started thinking about making it before the basement was finished. It was one of my inspirations for my basement colors. I saw this picture on a blog and knew I wanted to make one.
I had to order the metal squares from her etsy shop, do lots of painting (since I messed up the crackle finish the first time around), and figure out how to glue it together with the mirror. Then I had to buy a saw and miter box so that I could make the frame. It was funny when Justin and I were trying to cut a large piece of wood to fit as the back. The saw we have didn't work right (no point in explaining why) so we ended up using our electric knife. It worked, but it's lots easier to carve a turkey with it than wood! So it's finally finished. Yay!!! I'm wishing that I had actually wipe the mirror clean before taking the picture, but you get the idea.
