Easter in Logan

It had been ages since visiting Logan (the Moulton Christmas party was the last time) so we were excited to spend the weekend at Grandma K's house. We started off with a visit to Grandma Moulton, though. The boys managed to find her toy bin and eat most of her M&M's. It was good to chat with her. Ezra was feeling affectionate and would snuggle right up to Grandma. He was lucky to enjoy a little neck tickle from her. She's been having trouble with her feet and has since had to go to the hospital. We hope she'll get better soon.

The boys are always excited to swing in Grandma K's hammock. They were pleased that they could take Lucy outside with them. They were swinging too fast for me to get a good picture! It's too bad, because Lucy was all giggles! Nolan, however, was not too happy. He had forgotten his blanket, puppy, and monkey. It was very upsetting for him. We forgot Dad's Sunday clothes, too, but he didn't care as much. It was an excuse for me to run out and do a little shopping!
The Easter bunny came on Saturday morning. After checking their loot and looking for candy eggs, we raced to Hyrum for an egg hunt. As we pulled up, we could see that the race had started 2 minutes early and was over by the time we parked. O-well. They had enough candy anyway!
We headed to the Heritage farm for Baby Animal Days. There were pony rides, train rides, lots of baby animals, and a blacksmith doing demonstrations (Nolan could have stayed here the entire time). We showed a baby chick to Lucy but she didn't seem to care. She did love playing with Nolan's hat, though.

Then it was off to lunch with Grandma Petersen. She was happy to get out of the house because she recently had a pipe burst and flood her kitchen. There were lots of noisy fans drying out the place. We ate at Cafe Sabor. So delicious! Then we went to our favorite park, Ryan's Place. Justin and I felt like we were on sleeping pills. We sat in the warm sun in the van and fell asleep while Grandma K played with the kids. It was a luxury for me... it seems like naps are pretty rare these days.
That evening we took a little hike up Providence Canyon and roasted hot dogs. Grandma packed a wonderful dinner and Karen and Wayne met us there. It was a beautiful evening!

Our Easter Sunday was wonderful (after church, that is). Ezra wasn't happy at church. He kept saying, "I don't want to be a visitor!" He wandered in to find us during Sunday school, and then wandered in again during Relief Society. So Grandma K was pretty happy that she got to snuggle Lucy while I went with Ezra to Primary. That's okay; Primary is more exciting anyway! Kathi made the most delicious Easter meal and we were joined by Daren and his kids and Grandma Moulton. It was so nice not to cook! Kathi always spoils us with yummy food, especially tasty breakfasts. I even got to take a long nap and a peaceful walk with Lucy while Ez napped and Justin took Nolan to visit Chris and Oana. Later, we spent a little while at a nearby park.
The weekend couldn't have been any better (except for Lucy waking me up 5 or 6 times every night... ugh!). Luckily she's been sleeping better since. Happy Easter!
