Birthday Trip to San Diego

Justin had some business travel scheduled in San Diego on a Thursday and Friday, and then the following week, so he decided that we should have a little trip just the two of us and then he wouldn't have to fly back and forth. Grandma K. was able to watch the kids for several nights. They were beyond excited to have her stay and I was beyond grateful for the time away!

We stayed for 4 nights in 3 different hotels (not sure why, but it was fun!). We squeezed in so many great activities: sea kayaking at La Jolla, an initiatory and endowment session at the temple for some of Justin's ancestors, an evening with Justin's Dad and Kathy and little brothers, a quick visit to Point Loma, saw the movie Intersteller, saw the sunset at the beach, ate delicious food, and enjoyed relaxing and spending time with each other. Justin surprised me with a new chromebook (that wouldn't work but we've since gotten one that does and I love it!) and a new apron. It was the best birthday ever!
My birthday sunrise over the San Diego skyline.
We survived (and loved) sea kayaking!
Hiking at Torrey Pines:
At the temple, just after Justin saw some old friends from his ward - Sheralie's parents.
Quick visit to Point Loma:
The biggest donut I've ever seen!
 Sunset from Del Mar.
As you can see, No-Shave November is in full swing for Justin!
Grandpa John stayed with the kids the last night that we were away and when I got home I received a Kindle Paperwhite from he and my mom. I was so spoiled this year! Here's to being 31!
