Nolan's birthday was fun. Still can't believe I have a 7 yr. old. I love that my boys typically make birthday parties easy for me. They don't request fancy cakes so I got to choose my favorite dark chocolate peanut butter cake. We all enjoyed it! Grandma Petersen came down for the afternoon. It was her first time to see Lucy in person. Kathi and Jon were also there. Nolan loved his gifts: a couple movies, an RV Lego set, and a safari vest and field guide. We asked if he got everything he wanted and he said, "Yes, I think so." Good answer, buddy. Well, that wasn't everything. We got him a very special present that he's been wanting for a long time. He was so excited and surprised when he opened his Lego Mindstorms set (they are robotic legos and can be programmed on the computer). And then a couple of days later he received a new remote control helicopter in the mail from Grandma and Grandpa in St. George. What a happy birthday boy! We're so glad that he is in our family.
