Spring Break in St. George (pt. 1)

Lacey and I decided to pile our kiddos in the van (we were packed in tight with all 6 of them!) and head to St. George for the week. Justin would soon be heading out on a business trip, so we missed having him along. It was very chaotic getting all the car seats and booster seats situated. We enjoyed a barbecue at Keeley's house to celebrate Ethan's birthday. We all had a good time, especially when Travis dropped his drawers in the backyard and peed in the grass.

On Monday, the kids were excited to go swimming. It was Lucy's first time and she loved it. She was so relaxed. We thought that she was going to fall asleep in her little float.
We had quite a scary experience with Ezra. I had just gotten he and Lucy out and showered off. As I was getting my sandals on and gathering up our stuff, I had the following thought: "Where is Ezra?" I turned around and found him back in the pool with his face under the water and his hands flailing around. I screamed and jumped in after him. His little eyes were wide with terror and he came up coughing and crying. For the next couple of days I couldn't stop thinking about what could have happened if I had kept my back turned any longer. It turns out that he snuck back in the pool and forgot that he didn't have his arm floats on. I'm so thankful for the prompting to look for him!
That evening we went to Pizza Hut for a big family dinner and then to Fiesta Fun to celebrate E's birthday some more. The go-karts were really fun and it was great to see Lacey behind the wheel again. Travis wasn't so sure about riding, so at the last minute he got out and Grandpa was left to have another ride by himself. Then it was on to arcade games and choosing which cheap prizes to take home (all of which were thrown away within two weeks!).

Classic boy pose.
 The ticket counter... so exciting!
